There are many factors that determine the length of time, but the average is 4-5 months.
Can I make changes to a plan?
Absolutely! We realize that buyers have specific needs and might want to make adjustments to a plan. We want you to be happy and get what you want in a home.
Will you build a plan that I purchased?
Absolutely! If you do not choose one of our plans, we will certainly build one you bring to us.
Construction Basics
Preconstruction — Final review the blueprints and verify home placement. The various stages of construction and discussed.
Foundation — Soil conditions are analyzed to ensure a quality structure. We use post-tension engineering to help ensure the stability and integrity of each foundation.
Framing — The frame is the skeleton of your home and consists of the following: the walls, second floor (if applicable), roof trusses and roof.
Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) — Systems are installed, along with plumbing and electrical wiring. Exterior detail work begins including trim, windows and doors.
Drywall — Insulation and permanent power connections are installed. Then drywall can be hung, taped and finished. Insulation is blown into the attic.
Trim and Finish Details — During this phase, you will begin to recognize the design options you selected. Interior trim, cabinets, counter tops and sinks are installed. Walls are painted while shelving, bath accessories and mirrors are installed.
Final Touches — Flooring and appliances are installed. Various final inspections take place to ensure a quality built home.
Homeowner Orientation — During the orientation, we walk you through the completed home and answer any questions you may have. Mechanical components and items covered by the warranty are reviewed.
